This page explains how to remove SWM's access to your Instagram account and how to ask Simply Works Marketing ("SWM") to delete data we hold about you, including data from our Meta app, SWM Campaign Tracker.
Remove SWM's access
- Restaurants connected through Facebook Login: in Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business Integrations. Select SWM Campaign Tracker and remove it. You can also turn the connection off in the client portal.
- Instagram accounts: in Instagram, open Settings and activity, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. Select SWM Campaign Tracker and remove it.
Meta's labels may vary by device or account type. Removing access stops new access. It doesn't by itself delete records we already hold, so please also ask us as described below.
Ask us to delete your data
Use either of these:
- Email info@simplyworks.marketing with your Instagram username or your restaurant's name, and say "Delete my SWM data".
- Send a direct message from the Instagram account concerned to the SWM or restaurant account you were in touch with, and say "Delete my SWM data".
Please don't include passwords, payment details or identity documents. We will confirm your request and may ask for a little more only if we need it to prevent someone else from deleting your data.
What happens next
- We erase your phone number, reservation name and other contact details.
- We remove your details from what restaurants see in the client portal, and we stop contacting you.
- We delete any access token for your account.
- Message text is removed on its normal schedule, within 180 days of the message. Tell us if you need it removed sooner and we will handle that request by hand.
We normally finish within 30 days, unless the law, security, fraud prevention or a documented dispute requires longer. We may keep basic records of past visits and of your request, without your contact details, so that we honor it and keep accurate business records. Limited backups or security logs may remain until their normal retention periods end, and they aren't restored for ordinary use.
Meta controls the data it holds itself. For that, use Meta's own privacy controls. More detail is in our privacy policy.
